Bait al Zubair: This privately owned museum boasts of an excellent collection of Omani artefacts that include traditional handicrafts, furniture, weaponry, jewellery, stamps, coins, musical instruments, documents and books. It is a great place to explore the country's rich heritage. It is also organizes various events and international art exhibitions.

Mutrah Souk: Mutrah Souk is one of the oldest markets in not just Oman, but on the entire Arab world. It dates back about two hundred years but has still retained its distinctiveness. The marketplace is a huge allure for the all the visitors to the country. All kinds of products from scarves and dresses to souvenirs and jewellery are available in this market. Shopping here is a fabulous experience and the warmth of the shopkeepers is an additional charm.

Sultan's Armed Forces Museum: Located at Fort Al Falaj House, Sultan's Armed Forces Museum is the only Military Museum in the Sultanate of Oman. It houses a huge collection weapons, photographs and historical documents and shows Oman's historical journey since the pre-Islamic times.

Royal Opera House Muscat: The splendid structure was designed with the aim to highlight the art and culture of Oman and to promote cultural exchange. The building opened in 2011 and is a perfect example of magnificent architecture and design and it hosts outstanding opera performances as well as other musical events.

Al Jalali Fort: Al Jalali Fort was built in the 16th-century during the Portuguese occupation in the region. The fort has been restored and is now a private museum which is not open to the public. Yet, tourists visit the place to admire its scenic location and to get an insight into historical facts and figures.
